Holiday Drink

Can be served hot or cold
Hot
2.5 oz Gosling's Black Seal Rum
Juice of 1/4 lemon
1 tablespoon ginger-sugar syrup

Cold - on the rocks
2.5 oz Gosling's Black Seal Rum
Juice of 1/4 lemon
2 teaspoons ginger-sugar syrup
crushed mint (optional)

Ginger-Sugar Syrup
- Boil equal amounts of sugar and water until the sugar dissolves.  Peel a stalk of ginger, cut into chunks, place the ginger into the sugar syrup and place in refridgerator overnight.  The syrup will last for months in the fridge.
