Life in the big city
Over the past several weeks I have encountered a number of people smoking pot on the streets of NYC. Last night was no exception, on the way back from a great dinner at Marea, there was a guy slowly walking down the street, a huge greenish cloud billowing from him.
Article today in the WSJ on coffee shops pulling back from laptop friendliness. Apparently things have gone too far and people are unfairly hogging space, reducing the turns at the coffee shops and costing the owners money. I'm in favor of doing something to limit abuse. I think it is OK to go to a coffee shop and set up office for a day, but pay rent. Buy stuff. Otherwise, go to the library, where your taxes have already paid the rent.
Doing nothing is the hardest work of all.
