Thought of the Day - Old Bridge
Just upriver from the Key Bridge in the Potomac are the remains of the Potomac Aqueduct Bridge. Built in the 1830's it served initially to transport barges from the C&O canal to the Alexandria canal and connected Georgetown with Alexandria. It went through a total of three rebuilds before being decommissioned after the Key Bridge was built in
